Character Background and Description Lieutenant Colonel Davar is one of the few of his rank who wears the red. While some must continue to manage the raid groups, many officers end up transferring to the police force after the rank of Captain, looking for a simpler job after their time in the raiders. Kyle was offered transfer, but chose to stay where he was. As his partners have told him several times: he's a good man who wants the best for people, but there's a fire in him needing to be let out to burn, lest it burn him. So he stays where he can have that chance on a regular basis; he stays where he can direct it, rather than try to smother it.
Kyle Davar had always enjoyed the rough side of life, to the point where he was relieved when he Discovered he wouldn't be confined to the safe and sanitary life of humanity. He was always a bit of a bully as a child, a lifestyle he found it hard to break. Why not have someone forge it out of him, then? The military academy was his solution. While it certainly trained it out of him, the core emotion never went away. At first he thought it made him a bad person, but eventually he learned it was just something he needed to channel. Channeling it on the civilian population appeared to be a bad idea, so he quickly transferred to the raiders.
